This liner was put in by the builder's plumbing contractor who not only didn't build a pre-slope under the liner, but also blocked the weep holes located beside each bolt in the drain assembly. This editorial will focus on the proper installation of the drain.
You can see that the liner is blocking the area where the weep holes are.
After removing the top flange of the drain assembly you can get a closer look at the liner material. It should have been carefully cut around each bolt with attention given to the exact location of the weep holes.
The material has been notched properly.
If you look carefully you can see the weep hole located beside each bolt. It is free of any obstruction.
